Kaushik Farmer Producer Company Limited is a small operation we run out of Sotha. Specifically, we’re located at Surender Kumar’s place. He’s the son of Sh. Om Parkash. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Basanti Mata Mandir. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows the temple. We are just a group of local farmers trying to get by. We don't have a big corporate office with air conditioning. Usually, we just meet up at Surender's place or near the temple to discuss our plans for the season. We grow what the land allows and try to find the best way to get it to people who need it. Surender handles a lot of the day-to-day things, and we all chip in when we can. It’s a lot of manual work and sometimes the sun is really unforgiving, but that’s the life we chose. We started the company so we wouldn't have to face the markets alone. It’s better to have a few friends and neighbors standing with you. We don't have a big mission or a glossy brochure. We just want to make sure we can buy our seeds and sell our grain without getting cheated. It’s a very local thing, strictly for the folks around Sair and the nearby areas. If you drop by, you’ll see we’re just regular people doing the best we can with what we have.
