Kalimpong Krishak Kalyan Sangathan Producer Company Limited is located right in the heart of Kalimpong at Damber Chowk. You can find us in the Central Bank Building, which is a pretty well-known spot around here. We are a collective of farmers from the Darjeeling hills. Farming up here in the mountains is a lot different than it is down in the plains of West Bengal. We have to deal with steep slopes and different kinds of weather, so we formed this company to help each other out with the unique challenges we face. Our office is a busy place where people from all over the district come to talk about their crops and how to get things moving. We don't use any fancy corporate language because that’s not who we are. We are just people who know the land and want to make sure that our fellow farmers can make a fair living. Being in the Central Bank Building makes it easy for people to drop by when they are in town for errands. We don't have any grand slogans or polished marketing materials. We just focus on the practical side of things, like seeds, tools, and markets. It’s an honest way of living, and we are just trying to keep the tradition of farming alive in Kalimpong while helping our community grow in a simple, straightforward way for everyone.
