Samrudhakrushak Producer Company Limited

Samrudhakrushak Producer Company Limited is situated in Salebhata, Keygaon, which is over in the Kalahandi district. We are operating out of Santan Sahu’s place. It’s a local setup, very much a part of the village life here. In Kalahandi, farming is everything, so we put this producer company together to help each other out. We don’t have a big staff or a fancy office building. It’s mostly just a few of us managing the paperwork and talking to the other krushaks in the area. We spend our time discussing things like grain quality and where to get the best supplies without spending too much. It’s practical stuff that matters to people who live off the land. Sometimes the office gets busy when everyone comes in at once, and other times it’s just quiet with the sound of the wind outside. We don’t go in for big promises or polished advertisements. We just know the soil here and what it takes to get a decent harvest. Working from Santan Sahu’s gives us a good base where everyone feels welcome to drop by. We’re just a group of people from Salebhata trying to do something good for our community. It’s hard work and there are plenty of long days, but it feels better doing it together than trying to manage everything alone.
