Azhar Stores

If you go down Aland Road, you will eventually see Azhar Stores. We are at 3-2-149, which is right near the Eshwar Temple. You can actually hear the temple bells from our front door on some mornings. It is a small shop, but we keep the shelves pretty full of various things. The aisles are a bit crowded because we try to fit as much as we can inside. I spend a lot of my day standing behind the wooden counter. It is nice being so close to the temple because there are always people walking by on the street. Some people stop in just to say hello or to get out of the heat for a few minutes. The building is quite old and has its own little quirks. Like the light switch in the back room that you have to flick twice to get it to work. We do not mind it much. Aland Road is usually quite a lively place to be. Being at 3-2-149 means we see a lot of the familiar local faces every single day. We do not really have a big staff, just a couple of us who take turns. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the narrow road for a little bit. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic passing by the front. We try to keep the floors clean but it is often a losing battle. Azhar Stores is just a regular place for regular people who live around here. We open early and close late.
