We set up Pizza Day right here in G Mamidada a few years back. It is a quiet area in East Godavari but we stay busy enough with the locals. Making pizza was not something we originally planned on doing for a living but it just happened. We have a small kitchen and a few tables for people who want to sit down. Most of the time it is just us prepping the dough and cutting up vegetables for the toppings. We get our ingredients from around here when we can. The ovens stay on all afternoon and into the evening which makes the place smell like toasted crust and sauce. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it is just a slow afternoon where we sit and wait. We are not trying to be like those big international chains you see in the cities. We just want to make a decent meal for the neighbors. It can get a bit hectic when several orders come in at once because there are only a couple of us in the back. We try to get things out as fast as we can without rushing the cooking part. It is a simple life running a pizza place in a village. We know most of the people who come through the door by their first names. If you are ever out this way in East Godavari you will find us at the address. We are just here doing our thing day after day.
