If you take the Bypass Road and look for the Shivalayam Temple, you’ll find our shop right nearby. It’s a convenient spot because the big trucks can pull over without getting stuck in the middle of town. Hydraulics is what we live and breathe every day. The shop is filled with hoses, pumps, and metal bits that most people wouldn’t recognize, but they are essential for the machines to work right. It’s messy work, and by the end of the day, everyone’s hands are usually pretty stained with hydraulic fluid that doesn’t like to wash off easily. The temple is a nice landmark, and sometimes the bells ringing in the morning provide a bit of peace before we start the loud work of testing valves and cylinders. We have a small bench where we do the precision stuff, and the rest of the floor is for the bigger jobs. It’s not a quiet place, and the air usually smells a bit like hot oil and metal shavings. We don’t have much in the way of a waiting room, so people usually just stand around and chat while we look at whatever part they brought in. It’s a simple setup, but it works for what we need to do. We’ve been on this road for a long time and have seen many people come and go, but the need for good repairs never really changes.
