Mahaboobia Modern Rice Mill

Our rice mill, Mahaboobia Modern Rice Mill, is located at 3/333, Main Bazaar, on Sunkesula Road in the Khazipet area of Kadapa District. It’s a dusty place, as you would expect from a mill, but it’s where all the work happens. We take the raw paddy and process it through the machinery to get the rice ready for the market. It’s a loud environment when the motors are running, and we all have to speak quite loudly to hear each other over the din. The mill is right on the Main Bazaar, so we have farmers bringing their harvest in tractors and carts all day long during the peak seasons. We don't have a corporate office or a polished front desk. Most of the business is done right there on the mill floor or in a small side room where we keep our records. We’ve been part of the Kadapa agricultural scene for a while now. Dealing with the weather and the crop cycles is just a part of our life here. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just mill the rice, pack it into bags, and send it out to the shops. It’s hard, physical work, and our clothes are usually covered in husks by the end of the shift. That’s just the way it is at a rice mill in a place like Khazipet, and we are used to it.
