Ambuja Cements Ltd.

Out here in Kodinar, things move at their own pace. We are based right on Veraval Road, near Bhavsinh J Jadav in the 7-Sardar Nagar area. Most of our days are spent watching the trucks roll in and out from the yard. It gets really dusty, especially when the wind picks up across Junagadh district. We’ve got a small crew here for Ambuja Cements Ltd. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning or sleek furniture. It’s mostly just metal desks and stacks of delivery notes. If you come by, you’ll probably see us covered in a bit of grey dust from the bags. That’s just part of the trade when you’re dealing with cement. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes when three trucks show up at once, it gets a bit chaotic. We know most of the local builders and the guys who drive the tractors. The sun hits the building pretty hard in the middle of the day, so we usually take a quick break for tea under the shade. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the local construction sites have what they need to keep the walls going up. It’s a lot of lifting and counting. You learn to recognize the sound of a heavy engine from a mile away. We’ve been at this spot for some time, and it feels like a second home now, even with the constant noise of the machinery.
