You can find The Indian Spares Industries right across from the Fire Brigade on Dolat Press Mean Road-3. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows the fire station. Our shop is full of metal parts and grease. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling packed with various spares for machinery. Sometimes it takes me a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for, but I usually know where everything is. It is a family thing. My father started it and I just kept it going. We don't do much advertising. People usually hear about us through word of mouth. The road outside is always busy with trucks and buses passing by. We keep the front shutter open all day to let the air in. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer months. We spend our time cleaning parts and checking the lists from our suppliers. We handle a lot of different types of industrial spares. It is not a clean job. My hands are usually stained with oil by the time I go home at night. We have a small desk in the corner where we do the billing and talk to the regulars who come in for parts. We aren't looking to expand or anything. This one shop is enough for us. It is just honest work selling parts that people need to keep their machines running.
