Saurashtra Bhumi

Saurashtra Bhumi is easy to find because we are located near the jail on Jail Road. Mr. Kartikbhai Updadhyay is usually around, sitting at his desk surrounded by stacks of files and local newspapers. The office isn’t much to look at, just a regular room with a few chairs for visitors and a ceiling fan that clicks a bit when it’s on high. We deal with land matters and local agricultural concerns, so we have a lot of people from the nearby villages coming in to ask questions. Jail Road is always busy, so there is a constant background noise of scooters and rickshaws going past the window. We’ve been in this spot for years, and the walls are covered with old calendars and maps of the area. We don’t have a website that we update often, as we prefer talking to people face to face. It’s more personal that way. Someone is usually brewing a pot of tea in the back, and the smell of it fills the office by mid-morning. We take our time with the paperwork to make sure everything is sorted out correctly. It’s not a fast-paced corporate environment. It’s more of a place where you can sit and explain your situation without feeling rushed. We know the local land and the people who work it, and that’s why we stay right here on Jail Road. It is a simple setup that has worked well for us.
