Oxford Academy

We've been here at Oxford Academy for quite a while now. If you know the 80 Feet Main Road in Veraval, you’ve probably seen us near the Panchanath Mahadev temple. It’s a busy spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is out and about. We work out of the Vanand Samaj building. It's not a fancy glass building or anything like that, just a regular place where students come to get through their lessons. Most of the kids who come here live nearby in Veraval. We spend our days going over textbooks and trying to make sense of whatever the latest syllabus is. It gets a bit loud sometimes when the classes are full, but that's just how it is. We try to keep things simple. Parents often drop by to check on how their children are doing, or just to chat about upcoming exams. We don't have a big office staff, it’s mostly just us teachers handling everything from the registers to cleaning up the boards after a long day of work. The 80 feet road always has traffic, so there is a constant hum of bikes and cars outside our windows while we work. It’s a local place for local people. Nothing more, nothing less. We just focus on the books and hope the students put in the effort. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy in the heat, but we get the work done. It’s a basic setup that serves the neighborhood well enough.
