Minraj Education Center

We are located in the Bhavnath area of Junagadh, right on Parikrma Marg. It’s a nice part of town, especially with the hills sitting nearby. You can see the trees and the slopes from our upstairs windows. The air feels a bit different here than in the very center of the city. We have a modest building that isn't very tall. Most of the classrooms face inward toward a small courtyard. We spend a lot of time outside when the weather is decent. During the pilgrimage times, the road outside gets very crowded with people walking by. We have to be careful about the noise then because it can get distracting. Usually, it's a peaceful spot for the children. The center has been in this location for a while now. We have desks and benches that have been used by many students over the years. We don't change things just to look modern. If a desk works, we keep using it. Some of the wooden tops have names carved into them by kids who were here a decade ago. The teachers walk to work or take the local rickshaws from the city. We know the shopkeepers on the corner quite well. Sometimes the older kids go out to buy a small snack after the final bell rings. We teach the regular subjects with a lot of focus on writing. We don't have a fancy computer lab, just a few machines that the students share. It’s enough for what they need.
