Jeenam Furniture

Jeenam Furniture is located near Baba Complex, right opposite Janakpuri. It’s easy to find because we usually have some pieces of wood or half-finished chairs sitting near the entrance. The smell of sawdust is the first thing you notice when you walk in. We’ve got a lot of tools scattered around, and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep. We spend our days cutting, sanding, and putting things together. It’s physical work and our hands are always a bit rough from it. We show people the different types of wood we use and explain how a certain table is made. Sometimes a customer wants something specific, so we have to figure out how to build it from a rough sketch. It takes time and sometimes we make mistakes and have to start over. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be careful where we put everything. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. People from the neighborhood know us and stop by just to chat sometimes. We aren't a big showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where things actually get built. We work hard and at the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired. But it’s good to see a finished piece of furniture leave the shop and go to someone's home. We just keep making things one piece at a time and hope people like what we do.
