Darbar Loj

Darbar Loj is situated on Datar Road in Junagadh. If you know the area, we are right there at Kalva Chowk. It’s a busy spot with lots of rickshaws and people moving around all the time. The building itself has been there for quite a while. We have rooms for people who are staying for a night or two while they finish their work in town. The noise from the chowk usually drifts up through the windows, so you always know what’s happening outside. It’s not a quiet place, but that’s just how Junagadh is. We spend most of our time at the front desk or checking the hallways. The stairs are a bit narrow and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint here and there, but it works for what it is. People come here because it’s easy to find and right in the middle of everything. We get pilgrims, workers, and sometimes students. In the morning, you can hear the shops downstairs opening their shutters. We don’t have a big fancy lobby, just a place to sit and some old registers. Most of the people who work here live nearby too. We know the tea sellers on the corner and the guys at the market. It’s a simple life running a lodge. We just make sure the rooms are ready and the keys are where they should be. It’s a plain place for regular people passing through Junagadh.
