Hotel Essel Park

Hotel Essel Park is located on the Rajkot Highway in Junagadh, 362001. We are right opposite the Sakkarbaug Zoo. You can actually hear some of the animals if the wind is blowing the right way and the highway traffic isn’t too loud. It’s a bit of a unique spot because of the zoo. Families come by a lot because they want to take their kids to see the lions and then have a place to stay nearby. I’ve been running things here for a while, and it’s a steady kind of life. The highway brings in all sorts of travelers, from truck drivers to families on vacation. We have a fair amount of parking space because everyone is driving. The building is simple and doesn’t have many decorations. We focus on keeping the beds clean and the fans working. It gets hot in Junagadh, so we spend a lot of time making sure the water stays cool and the rooms aren't like ovens. Sometimes I go across to the zoo myself when things are slow. It’s a nice change of pace. Our hotel isn't part of some big chain. It’s just a local business on the edge of town. We don't have any big goals like that. We just open the doors every morning and see who the highway brings to us. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living. The sun sets and we close up.
