Alfa Machine Tools

You can find Alfa Machine Tools over in Dolatpara, right behind the Marketing Yard and near Surbhi-Masala. It’s a gritty part of town where people are actually making things. We have a lot of heavy equipment in our shop, and it’s usually pretty greasy. We spend our days working with metal, fixing things, or putting parts together. There’s always the sound of metal hitting metal or the hum of a lathe running in the background. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in overalls with dirt under our fingernails. That’s just the nature of working with machine tools. We’ve been at this location for a good while, and we know most of the other shop owners around here. It’s a community of makers and fixers. We don't talk much about things like innovation or the future. We just look at the piece of equipment in front of us and try to make it work right. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, or we run out of a specific part, and we just deal with it. The floor is concrete and hard on the feet, but we’re used to it. It’s just a regular machine shop where we do what we know how to do. We don't make a big deal out of it, we just do the work and close up at night.
