We've been at the G.B. Guturni Complex on Mariani Road for a while now. Most people know the spot because it’s right near Chinamara. The gate is usually open early in the morning when the first trucks start arriving. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the machines running inside. We handle a lot of industrial work here, and the floors are always covered in a bit of dust, which is just how it goes in this line of business. My brother and I started this because there was a need for it in this part of town. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but usually, we stay busy from sunrise until it gets dark. The staff we have are mostly locals from nearby. They know their way around the equipment. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk with a lot of papers and a fan that squeaks a little. If you walk past, you’ll see the piles of materials waiting to be moved. It isn't a quiet job, and my clothes usually have some grease on them by noon. We just try to get the work done as it comes in. Most days it’s just about managing the schedule and making sure the loaders show up on time. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we take breaks in the shade when we can. That’s just life here.
