Our place is on Lakwa Railway Road, which means we hear the trains going by all day long. It’s a sound you eventually stop noticing after you’ve been here a few weeks. The shop is a simple building, nothing too fancy, just a roof over our heads and enough room to store the tea. We spend a lot of time by the roadside, watching the world go by while we wait for deliveries or customers. It’s a bit of a dusty spot because of the traffic and the railway nearby, but we keep the inside as clean as we can. We have shelves lined with tea, and the smell inside is quite strong—that earthy, dry scent that sticks to your clothes. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy showroom. We just have a counter, a scale, and our tea. Most of our customers are locals or people who work along the railway line. We know their names and what they usually buy. It’s a slow and steady kind of life. We open up in the morning, do our work, and close up when it gets dark. There isn't much more to it than that. We just try to do a decent job and keep things moving along. Sometimes the rain makes it quiet, but usually, there is always something to stack or sort.
