Vinay Saree

Vinay Saree is tucked away in Mj Surana Market, which is part of the Tripolia Bazar. If you know this area, you know it’s one of the older parts of the city. The buildings have a lot of history and the streets are always full of activity. Our shop is quite traditional. We don't have fancy lights or glass displays. Instead, we have stacks of sarees that reach quite high. Most of our time is spent showing different colors and patterns to people who stop by. The market gets very hot in the summer, but the thick walls of the building help keep it a bit cooler inside. We start our day early, sweeping the floor and getting everything ready before the crowds arrive. Tripolia Bazar is a place where people come to find specific things, and we’ve been here long enough to know what they like. We don't bother with much advertising. Most people find us just by walking through the market or hearing about us from someone else. It’s a lot of standing and moving heavy bundles of cloth around. By the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired, but it’s a good kind of tired. We just keep things honest and do our work. There’s a certain rhythm to life here in the bazar that we’ve grown to love over the years.
