You can find us at Ramnath Mehta Bhawan, which is just outside Jalori Gate. It’s a pretty well-known landmark in this part of the city. We deal in all sorts of stone and trading, mostly sitting in the office and making calls or talking to the drivers who come in. The building has that old-style character to it, which we quite like. It’s not one of those new glass buildings you see popping up. Inside, things are a bit cluttered with samples and ledgers spread across the tables. We’ve spent a lot of years here, so we know the rhythm of the traffic coming through the gate. Mornings are usually the busiest when the shops nearby are opening up. We don’t really bother with fancy marketing or anything. We just focus on getting the stone moved and making sure the accounts are right. Sometimes the dust from the yard gets into the office, but that's part of the trade. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the trucks to arrive from the quarries. It's a simple life and we’ve built some good relationships with the people around here over the years. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just a reliable one that’s been around the block a few times and knows how to get things done without too much fuss or extra cost for the customers.
