Jai Guru Dev Stone

Jai Guru Dev Stone is located in Village Khawaspura within the Jodhpur District. This part of the country is known for its stone, so it made sense for us to be here. Our work is mostly outdoors or in open sheds because of all the dust and the size of the blocks we handle. It is heavy, tiring work that leaves you worn out by the end of the day. We spend hours cutting and smoothing down pieces of stone for various uses. The noise from the grinders is something you just get used to after a while. We aren't a massive company with a lot of office staff. It’s mostly just us out here with the raw material and our machines. In Khawaspura, things move at their own speed. We deal with a lot of local builders and people from nearby villages who need stone for their houses. The yard is always full of stacks of slabs and piles of chips that we haven't cleared yet. It’s not a pretty place to look at, but it is functional. We wear our old clothes and get covered in white dust from head to toe every single day. That is just how the stone business is. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the stone is solid. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset in this dusty part of Jodhpur District.
