Shri Aye Maa General Store

We have been running Shri Aye Maa General Store here in Bilo Ki Dhani for a while now. The shop is right near the government school at Mattoda Station, so it gets pretty busy when the kids are coming or going. Jodhpur sun is quite strong, so we try to keep the place cool enough for people to stand and browse. We keep a bit of everything that a family needs for their kitchen and home. It’s not a huge place, but it fills the gap for those who don’t want to go all the way into the main city every day. Usually, I’m the one behind the counter from early morning until the evening. We get the milk supplies first thing, and then the rest of the day is just chatting with neighbors while they pick up tea leaves or soap. Sometimes the stock takes a bit to arrive because we are slightly away from the main road, but we manage. My family helps out during the festivals when everyone wants sweets and extra supplies. It is a quiet life here in Mattoda, but the store keeps us connected to everyone around. You will find us just by looking for the school building. We don’t have fancy shelves, just plain wooden ones we built ourselves. It works for us and the people who live in the dhani. Nothing too complicated, just a small shop doing its bit for the local folks.
