Shreeyade Kirana And General Store is located in the Chopasni Gav area, right off the main Chopasni Road. Being in the gav part of the neighborhood gives the shop a bit of a different feel than the ones right in the middle of the city. It is a little more relaxed here, and we know pretty much everyone who walks through the door. We stock the usual stuff like grains, oils, and household items that people use every single day. The shop is a bit dusty because the roads around here aren't always perfectly paved, but that is just part of living in this part of Jodhpur. We keep the pulses in big open bags so people can see what they are buying. There is no air conditioning, just a couple of old fans that hum while we work. My hands are usually a bit dirty from handling the sacks and moving boxes around. We stay open pretty late because a lot of workers come by on their way home to the village area to grab things for their dinner. It is a practical place. We don't have any big signs or fancy decorations. It is just a place where you can get your groceries and maybe hear a bit of local gossip while you wait. We like the way things are here in Chopasni Gav.
