Sundeep Tiles

You can find Sundeep Tiles at Shop No. E-72 in the Kalpatru Shopping Center over in Shastri Nagar. It’s a typical small shop in a shopping complex. We spend a lot of time rearranging the tile displays so people can see the different patterns and colors we have in stock. The space is a bit tight, so we have to be careful how we stack the boxes. Shastri Nagar is a good neighborhood, and the shopping center usually has people coming and going all day. We start the morning by sweeping out the dust and wiping down the tile samples so they look decent. It’s not a high-tech operation; it’s just us sitting in the shop, waiting for customers and keeping track of the inventory. Sometimes the lights in the complex flicker a bit, or it gets a little stuffy inside, but we’re used to it. We have a small desk where we handle the bills and talk to the suppliers on the phone. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who know the shop inside and out. It’s a steady kind of work. We don’t try to be something we’re not. We’re just a tile shop in a local mall, trying to keep things organized and making sure we have enough stock for whoever walks through the door. It’s pretty straightforward and we like it that way. If the shop is closed, it’s usually because we’re out grabbing lunch nearby.
