Sahana General Store

Sahana General Store is situated on Chopasni Road, right opposite Janta Egg. That is the landmark most people use when they are trying to find us in Jodhpur. We have been here for a good amount of time, watching the traffic go by on the busy road outside. Our store is filled with all sorts of general items, from plastic buckets hanging from the ceiling to small packets of shampoo and cooking oil. It is the kind of place where things are stacked high, and you have to be careful not to knock something over when you are reaching for a shelf. We deal with all kinds of customers, some who are just passing through and others who have lived in the neighborhood for decades. The 342003 area stays busy, and we try to keep up with what everyone needs. Sometimes the light inside is a bit dim, but we know where everything is kept. Dealing with wholesalers and keeping the books updated takes up most of the afternoon when it is too hot for people to be out shopping. We don't have a big staff, just us making sure the customers get their groceries and head home. It is honest work, and the shop is a bit cluttered, but that is just how a real general store looks when it is actually being used every day.
