Ramesh M Stores

If you head down Alod Road in Dilip Kheda, you’ll find Ramesh M Stores right near the LIC office. It’s a convenient spot for us because everyone knows where that office is. We’ve been operating out of this building for quite some time now. It’s a bit of a mixed bag of stuff inside. We try to keep things where we can find them, but it’s a lot of inventory for a small space. The shelves are usually pretty full. Some mornings are slow, and I spend time just sweeping the front or rearranging things that got moved around. Then suddenly, three people show up at once and it gets hectic. We don't have a huge staff, so usually, it’s just me or a family member behind the counter. The shop is a bit dusty because of the road right outside, but we don’t mind it much. People from the surrounding villages come in quite a bit. We hear a lot of stories about what’s happening in the area while we’re weighing things out or looking for a specific item in the back. It’s not a fancy place with bright lights. It’s just a regular store where we try to have what people are looking for. Sometimes we run out of the popular stuff and have to tell folks to come back next week. We just do our best to keep the doors open and the lights on for the neighbors.
