We have been operating out of Mandore Mandi at O-13 for quite some time now. Most people around here know us because of the work we do with the local spice trade. This isn't a fancy office setup with glass walls or anything like that. It’s a place where we handle the day-to-day stuff that comes with dealing in spices. My desk is usually covered in papers and there is always someone coming in to talk about a shipment or the market price of cumin that day. We do not really have a marketing team or a big public relations department. It is just us. Sometimes the phone rings and nobody picks it up right away because we are out back checking the stock. That is just how it goes here. Mandore Mandi is a busy spot, and we are right in the thick of it. We deal with farmers and traders, and things get loud and dusty, but it is honest work. If you come by, you will see we are not trying to impress anyone with a shiny lobby. We just focus on the spices and the people we buy from. It is a lot of long hours, especially during the harvest seasons. We keep things pretty simple. There is not much to say beyond that we show up every morning and get through the list of what needs doing. The air smells like dried chilies and turmeric most days, which gets into your clothes.
