R. D. Marble & Stones

R. D. Marble & Stones is located in Mandor, specifically near the Old Post Office in the Amalierabera area. We are situated at Raju Ran Gelox, which is a name most locals recognize. Mandor is a place with a lot of history, and our shop fits right into the local rhythm. We deal with all kinds of stones, not just marble. Some days we are moving heavy granite blocks and other times it is smaller paving stones. The area around the old post office gets quite busy in the mornings with people running errands. Our shop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we stack things so there is still room to walk around. It is a bit of a maze sometimes. We have been here for a bit and we know most of the neighbors. If the power goes out, which happens now and then, we just sit outside and chat until it comes back on. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people walking in and asking if we have a certain color or size. It is a lot of manual labor, and we often go home with stone dust in our hair and on our clothes. We just focus on keeping the stock moving and making sure the pieces don't get chipped while we are moving them around the yard.
