Prahalad Provision Store

Our shop is right by Merti Gate in Jodhpur. If you are going toward the Ram Temple, you will see us at number 495. It’s a busy area and there is always something happening outside. Being a provision store means we have to keep a lot of different things in stock. From flour to sugar and spices, I try to keep the shelves filled. It is a bit tight inside because there are so many bags and boxes everywhere. I’ve lived in Jodhpur all my life and I like being near the temple. You get to see many people every day. Some people just come in for a small bit of salt or oil while they are out doing their errands. It’s not some massive supermarket, just a local place where we know your name. Sometimes the dust from the street comes in, so we are always cleaning. It’s a lot of work but it keeps the day moving. If you need groceries and you are near Merti Gate, just stop in. We don’t do anything fancy here. It is just about selling honest goods at the right prices. My son helps me in the afternoons when it gets busy. We try to be helpful to everyone who walks through the door. The Ram Temple is a good landmark for people who haven't been here before. It's just a normal Jodhpur shop life. We keep most of the grains in large sacks near the back wall.
