Maharani Saree

We are located over on Poata 7th C Road. If you know where Ramkrishna Vatika is, we’re just a short walk from there. It's a nice area of town. Our shop is at Plot 1342. We sell sarees, mostly. It's been Maharani Saree for a good few years now. My family runs the place and we take turns behind the counter. The shelves are usually packed with different fabrics and colors. It can get a bit crowded on Saturdays when everyone is out shopping for weddings or events. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the piles get a bit high on the floor. It’s a small shop, nothing too flashy. We have some regular customers who have been coming to us since we first started. We talk about local news while we show them the new stock that came in. It’s not just about selling things, it’s about being part of the neighborhood. We don't have a big website or anything like that. People just know where we are. Sometimes the lights flicker when the rain is heavy, but we just carry on with our work. We pick out the sarees ourselves from different suppliers. It takes a lot of time to look through everything. We hope the colors look right in the shop light. It’s just a basic business really. Nothing complicated. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and see who comes in. It's a good life.
