Our place is out in the Basni industrial area, specifically in the 2nd Phase at G-588(B). It’s a pretty standard industrial shed setup. Being in Basni means we deal with a lot of heat and noise, especially during the summer months when the sun is hitting the roof all day. We do international work, which mostly involves a lot of shipping containers and very long emails. We spend our mornings checking on what was produced the day before and our afternoons making sure the crates are packed correctly. There is always a layer of dust on everything, no matter how much we clean. It’s an industrial life, so we wear heavy boots and don’t worry too much about looking tidy. We have a few machines running most of the time, and the sound becomes like background music after a while. We aren't a huge multinational company with a glass building. We are just a group of people working in a warehouse in Rajasthan. We have some regular workers who have been with us for years, and we all just get on with the job. Sometimes the power goes out or a shipment gets delayed at the port, and we just have to deal with it. It’s not always easy, but we have been doing this long enough to not get too stressed out by the small things. The yard is usually full of pallets waiting to go out. We just keep at it until the day is done.
