If you walk down Street No 14 in Puranwala, you’ll see us right near the old atta chakki. Radha Madhav Trading Co. is located there, and you can always hear the sound of the flour mill grinding away next door. It’s a bit of a dusty street, but it’s where we’ve set up our trading business. We spend a lot of time in the godown, moving sacks and checking on the stock we’ve got stored away. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place to keep our goods dry and safe. We trade in a bit of everything that the local market needs. Some days are slow and we just sit outside on plastic chairs talking to the neighbors, while other days are a total mess with trucks trying to squeeze through the narrow street. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of Street 14 over the years. We don't have a website or any fancy advertising. People just know we are here because they see us every day. The atta chakki nearby is a good landmark, so nobody ever gets lost looking for us. We handle the lifting and the counting ourselves, and by the time evening rolls around, we’re usually pretty tired. It’s just a basic trading operation in a busy part of Puranwala, and we’re happy to keep it that way without making things too complicated for anyone. Sometimes the stray dogs sleep by the door when it is quiet.
