Manihar Stones

Down here at Stone Park, specifically at G-15-16, things stay pretty constant for us at Manihar Stones. Being out at 9 Mile in Mandore means we are a bit away from the main city buzz, which is fine by us. It gives us the space we need to handle all the heavy stone that comes through. We’ve got a decent-sized yard where we keep the inventory. Most days it’s just the sound of the saws and the forklifts running back and forth. We don't have a big polished office with air conditioning everywhere. It’s mostly just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of work happening outside in the sun. We deal with a lot of different types of stone, and every piece has its own weight and feel. You learn a lot about the material just by handling it day after day. Our guys have been with us for a long time, so they know the routine well. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People usually find us because they know someone we worked with before. It’s a practical business. We show up, we cut the stone, and we send it off to wherever it’s needed. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains, but we manage to get through it. It’s a quiet part of the world, and we just focus on getting the day's work finished properly.
