Krishna Sandstone Industries

Krishna Sandstone Industries is out at the Stone Park in Mandore. We have a large yard where we keep all the blocks and slabs of sandstone. It is a dusty place because of all the cutting and shaping that happens out in the open. We have different sizes of stone scattered around, and sometimes it takes a bit of time to find the exact piece someone wants. Most of our day is spent moving heavy stones with the crane or manually splitting pieces when needed. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, so we take breaks under the small tin shed we have for the office. It’s not a fancy setup at all, just a place to do work and keep the tools dry. We deal with a lot of dust, so our clothes and boots are always covered in it by the time we go home. The machines are old but they still work fine for what we need. People drive out here to look at the colors and textures of the stone before they decide. We just let them walk around the yard and see for themselves. There is no big sales pitch here, just a lot of rock and the sound of hammers hitting stone. It is hard work but we have been doing it for years now and we are used to the noise.
