Krishna Sandstone Industries

Our place is over at Plot No. 13/14 in the Stone Park area of Mandore. Krishna Sandstone Industries has been operating out of this spot for a while. Mandore is known for this kind of work, so we fit right in with the other yards nearby. We mostly deal with sandstone, which has its own way of behaving compared to other rocks. It’s a bit softer but you still have to be careful with it. We spend our mornings getting the saws ready and checking what orders need to be filled. It’s noisy and there’s always something that needs fixing. The guys who work here are local, and we all just try to get the day’s work done without any accidents. Sometimes we get a particularly nice batch of stone with good colors, and that’s a good day. Other days, the stone has hidden cracks and we have to start over. That’s just part of the industry. We don't put on any acts here. If you come by the Stone Park, you’ll find us in the middle of all the grit and noise. We don't have a receptionist, so you usually have to yell over the machines to get someone’s attention. It’s a physical way to make a living, even if it’s a bit rough around the edges. We just keep our heads down and work the stone as it comes in from the quarries.
