Jodhpur General Stores

Jodhpur General Stores is located at Siwanchi Gate, right across from the Ummed Hospital. Being opposite a hospital means our day-to-day is a bit different from other shops. We see a lot of people who are worried or in a hurry. We try to keep things they might need suddenly—like toiletries, basic medicines, or quick snacks. The shop is a bit cluttered because we try to fit a lot of variety into a small space. Siwanchi Gate is a busy area anyway, but the hospital traffic adds another layer to it. We open early and stay open until pretty late at night. The street noise is constant, with ambulances and horns going off all the time. We don't have any polished marketing or a big sign. It’s just a place where you can get what you need without much fuss. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle to find parking nearby, so we have to carry the crates ourselves from down the street. It’s tiring work, and our feet usually ache by the time we close the doors. We don't have any special mission; we're just here to sell groceries and general items to whoever walks through the door. The walls are a bit stained from the monsoon rain, and the shelves are a bit mismatched, but it’s our shop and we’ve been here a long time.
