Jmb Stone

We are located over in the Kali Beri area, right around Soor Sagar. If you know the neighborhood, you know it’s a lot of rock and dust. That’s just the way it is around here. We’ve been working with stone for quite some time now at Jmb Stone. It’s a family-style setup, really. My cousin helps out, and we have a few guys who have been with us for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just reliable. The sun gets pretty hot out in the yard, so we do most of the heavy lifting in the mornings. You can hear the sounds of the saws from a distance away. Sometimes the stone is easy to work with, and other times it’s a real challenge, but that’s the nature of the business. We don’t have a big fancy sign or a shiny showroom. It’s mostly just piles of stone waiting to be moved. People stop by when they’re building something and need raw materials. We show them what we have on hand and go from there. Soor Sagar is home to us, and we like being part of the local community. It’s honest work that leaves you tired at the end of the day. There’s something satisfying about seeing a big block of stone get turned into something useful for someone’s house or a wall.
