Salwarduniya

If you are looking for us, we are tucked away in Gajjo Ke Gali. It is inside the Meko Ka Bas area, right near Jalori Gate. It can be a bit tricky to find if you are not from around here. We are quite close to Bhajan Chowki, so we hear the sounds from there all the time. Jodhpur can get very dusty and hot, and our little spot in the lane feels like a bit of a hideout from the main road traffic. The building is just a regular local structure with thick walls. Inside, we have our setup for Salwarduniya. There is always a pile of clothes or fabric somewhere. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and maybe a clock that is five minutes fast. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or checking the latest batches that come in from the weavers. It gets cramped when we have a lot of inventory, but we manage to find space. The neighbors are friendly, and we often share news about what is happening in the market. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know the routine. We open up early before the sun gets too strong and try to finish the heavy lifting by midday. It is a quiet way to run a business, away from the big fancy showrooms.
