Jaishankar Sandstone

Jaishankar Sandstone is based in Sardarpura Capita, very close to the Home Mandir. It’s a good location because people know the landmark. Our business is pretty straightforward; we work with sandstone. The yard is always a bit of a mess with offcuts and piles of sand, but we know where everything is. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and displays. What you see is the raw material we work with every day. Most of the time, you’ll find us out there with the stones, checking the quality or helping load a truck. The sun can be pretty brutal in Sardarpura, but we just wear our hats and keep moving. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and we’ve learned a lot about the different types of stone that come through here. We don't talk like salesmen. If a stone has a flaw, we point it out. It’s better to be honest than to have someone unhappy later. Many of our customers are locals who are building their own houses. They come by, look at the stacks, and we chat about what might work for their project. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, even when we’re busy. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our work and go home at the end of the day knowing the jobs are handled. That is how we have always run things around here.
