Indian Traditional Textiles

We are located out by Kaylana Circle in Kabeer Nagar. It is a bit of a trek for some, but we like it here. Indian Traditional Textiles is basically just a room full of tradition, if you want to put it that way. We don't do anything too modern or flashy. Mostly, we deal with the kind of fabrics our mothers and grandmothers used to buy. The shop stays relatively cool even when it’s hot outside, which is a relief. We spend a lot of time just folding and unfolding stuff for people. It gets messy fast, especially on Saturdays. There’s no big sign outside, just a regular door that stays open most of the day. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it's quiet. People stop by to ask for directions more often than they stop to buy things, but that’s fine. We know the area well. Inside, the walls are covered in stacks of bright colors. We don’t use computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still written down in a ledger. It works for us. We try to keep things honest. If a piece of cloth has a snag, we’ll show you. We aren't trying to hide anything. It’s just a small local business trying to stay relevant while everyone else is moving to malls. We like the personal touch of being in a neighborhood like Kabeer Nagar and having regular conversations with everyone.
