India Sandstone

Our business, India Sandstone, is located at Sector C Plot No 24 B Panchwati Colony. It’s a bit different being in a colony compared to the big industrial zones, but we make it work. The area is a little quieter, which is nice sometimes. We deal mostly with sandstone, which has a different feel than marble or granite. It’s grittier and has those warm colors. We spend our time sorting through the blocks and pieces that come in. There’s always a bit of a mess in the yard, but that’s part of the trade. We have a few guys who help with the loading and unloading. We don’t have a big corporate structure. It’s mostly just us talking to customers and figuring out what they need for their gardens or walls. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult—if it rains, the yard gets muddy and everything slows down. We just wait for it to dry out and then get back to it. We’ve been at this plot for quite some time, so the locals are used to seeing the stone piled up. We aren't doing anything flashy here. We just buy the stone, store it, and sell it to whoever needs it. It’s a practical business. We try to be fair and just do a decent day’s work without making things complicated. Most of the time, we’re just out in the yard moving things around.
