Hira Oil & Dall Mills

We operate Hira Oil & Dall Mills out of Plot No. C-28 in the 1st Phase of the M.I.A. area in Basni. It is an industrial spot, so there isn’t much scenery, just other warehouses and units like ours. The mill has been running for a long time. You can hear the hum of the machinery from the street most days. We process oil and dall, so there is always a particular scent in the air that you get used to after about five minutes. It is a lot of work keeping those machines running smoothly. They need constant attention, otherwise things start to jam up or get dusty. We have a small crew that knows exactly what to do when a belt slips or a filter gets clogged. It is not the kind of job where you wear a suit. Most of us are in overalls or old clothes most of the time. We get deliveries of raw materials throughout the week, and then we spend the rest of the time processing it all. The office is just a tiny room with a desk that has seen better days and a calendar from three years ago that we never took down. We don’t care much for how things look as long as the output is good. People come to us because they know we have been here for years and we know our business well. It is steady work, and we like the routine. We just keep our heads down.
