Hardrock Marbles Exports

Our place, Hardrock Marbles Exports, sits right behind the Grsp Hospital in the Udaimandir area. If you pass the Neni Ji Temple, you're basically there. It's not a quiet neighborhood, what with the hospital traffic and the temple bells, but we like it. We deal with marble all day long. It's physical work, moving heavy slabs and checking for cracks or nice veins in the stone. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world, just trying to keep the yard running. The sun hits the stone in the afternoon and you can really see the colors then. Sometimes we stay late to finish a crate for a shipment. The office is just a small room with a fan and some old ledgers. Most of our time is spent outside anyway. We’ve had some of the same guys working here for years. They know the stones better than anyone. We don’t spend money on fancy signs. People find us because they know where the hospital and the temple are. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do. Every piece of marble is different, so it keeps the job interesting enough. We just stay focused on the tasks in front of us and hope the rain doesn't slow down the loading too much. It’s a simple life surrounded by stone.
