Our office is situated in Tank House, up on the first floor. It’s a simple building and we’ve been here for a good number of years. Global Exports isn't a giant company with thousands of employees. It’s just us, working out of a few rooms. We spend most of our time dealing with international orders. This involves a lot of checking and double-checking of lists and shipping manifests. It can be tedious, sitting at a desk all day looking at numbers, but it’s what we do. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and sometimes share a meal. The furniture is a bit mismatched, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. We handle everything from the initial inquiry to the final delivery. It means we have to stay in touch with a lot of different people, like drivers, port workers, and other traders. Sometimes there are delays at the border or the weather messes up the shipping schedules. When that happens, we just stay late and try to sort it out. We don’t have a fancy website or a big marketing team. Word of mouth is how most people find us. We just try to be reliable and get the items where they’re supposed to go without too much fuss. It’s just regular work done by regular people.
