Hansh General Stores

Hansh General Stores is situated right near the Maha Mandir Circle in Jodhpur. This is a very busy spot and the sun really beats down on us during the day. We have a lot of people stopping by who are just passing through the circle and need a cold water bottle or a pack of gum. The shop has been here for years and the wooden counters have gone a bit dark with age. We stock all the basic kirana items like tea, sugar, and different types of flour. It gets quite dusty because of all the vehicles moving around the circle but we try to wipe down the jars every morning. I usually sit on a small stool near the entrance so I can see who is coming in. We have a big clock on the wall that hasn't worked in years but nobody seems to mind. Sometimes we have long conversations with the tea seller from next door when things are slow in the afternoon. It is not a very large shop so we have to be careful about how much stock we order at one time. We don't have any fancy signs or neon lights outside. Just a simple board with the name on it. It is just a honest place where you can get your daily needs without any fuss or waiting in long lines, and we try to keep things as easy as possible for everyone.
