Goswami Marbles

Goswami Marbles is tucked away at 12/E- 11 in the Chopasani Housing Board area. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so we try not to be too loud with the stone cutting. We keep a selection of marble pieces for people who are fixing up their homes or building something new nearby. It’s a small yard, really. We don’t have thousands of slabs, but we have enough for most local projects. Most of our customers are neighbors or people who live a few streets over. We’ve been here for a bit, so people know to come to us when they need a piece of stone for a windowsill or a small bathroom floor. Handling marble is heavy work and it’s easy to chip a corner if you aren’t careful. We take our time with it. My cousin helps out sometimes when we get a bigger shipment in. We don't have a big website or anything like that. People just drop by and see what we have in the back. Sometimes the inventory changes fast, and other times a specific piece sits there for months waiting for the right person. That’s just the way it goes. It’s a simple business run from a simple spot in the housing board. We focus on getting the measurements right and making sure people are satisfied with what they take home. It isn't much, but it's what we do and we have been doing it for a long time now.
