Gehlot Sabji And General Store

Our shop is at 84 Ram Nagar in Jodhpur, right across from the petrol bunk. It is a handy spot because people getting fuel for their cars often just walk over to buy some vegetables or groceries. We call it Gehlot Sabji and General Store because we sell fresh produce along with regular household items. We get our vegetables early every morning, and the rest of the shop has things like spices, pulses, and snacks. The heat in Jodhpur can be quite a problem, so we have to keep the vegetables covered and damp so they don't dry out. It is a small family business and most of our day is spent sorting through the produce or helping people find what they are looking for. The petrol pump across the street keeps the road busy even late into the evening. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of fans to keep the air moving. Sometimes we sell out of the best vegetables by noon, but that is just how it goes with fresh stock. We are not a big chain store, just a local place where you can get your greens and some soap or oil at the same time. We have been at this location for a good number of years now, and most people in Ram Nagar know us by now. It is just a simple, honest shop. (250 words)
