I’m Kapil Gandhi, and you can find my workspace at 27, Mohan Villa on Paotha C Road. The entrance is actually inside Jalam Niwas, which confuses some people the first time they visit. I work as an engineer here in Jodhpur, mostly dealing with the technical side of building things. It’s not a corporate office with a receptionist; it’s just a place where I get my engineering work done. Most of my day is spent looking at site plans or calculating materials. Paotha is a good area to be in, and being at Mohan Villa puts me right in the middle of things. I’ve lived in Jodhpur a long time, so I understand how we build things here. The work isn't always glamorous. A lot of it is just making sure the measurements are right and the materials are strong enough. I don't really have a sales pitch. People usually call me because they have a project that needs an engineer's eyes on it. Sometimes I am at the desk and sometimes I am out at a construction site in the heat. It’s a basic way of working. I prefer it that way because I can focus on the actual job.
