Being in a housing board colony means it feels more like a neighborhood than a business district, which we actually quite like. Jodhpur can get incredibly hot, as everyone knows, so our office is always trying to stay cool behind the thick walls. The address 11/404 is easy to locate once you enter the colony. We have desks set up in the main rooms and bookshelves filled with technical manuals and old project reports. There isn't a flashy front desk, just a place where we sit and figure out engineering problems. The streets outside are usually quiet except for the occasional scooter passing by or neighbors talking. We’ve been part of this Jodhpur community for a while now. Most of our work is done on the computers, but we still have plenty of paper around for sketches. It’s a simple setup, very practical and without any unnecessary frills. We drink a lot of water and keep the curtains drawn against the sun while we work. It’s an honest place to do business. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big glass building, we just focus on the consulting work we have to do right here in the housing board. It is just our little corner in Rajasthan where things get done.
