Chhavi Provision Store

Chhavi Provision Store is located on Street No. 9 Mahaveer Nagar, right in the Shakti Nagar part of Jodhpur. We are quite close to Annie Besant School, so we get a lot of students and parents walking past our doors every single day. The pin code is 342001, and this area of Jodhpur is usually full of life. In our store, we keep all the basic provisions like flour, rice, different kinds of lentils, and household cleaning supplies. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to fit as many things as possible on the shelves so that nobody has to go elsewhere for their shopping. The Jodhpur sun can be very bright, so we have some shades pulled down in the front during the middle of the day. We have been working here for a while, and the routine is mostly the same every day. We open up, check what ran out yesterday, and then wait for the first customers to arrive. Sometimes it is just someone looking for a packet of salt or some matches. We don't do anything fancy with the displays; we just put things where they fit and where people can see them easily. Near the back, we have some sacks of grain that we sell by the kilo. It is a honest way to make a living and we enjoy being part of the community here in Shakti Nagar. You get to hear all the local news just by standing behind the counter for a few hours.
